Styrenic polymers are amorphous polymers that are mainly composed of styrene blocks. Styrenic polymers can range anywhere from stiff and transparent to tough and durable. Styrenic polymers can be used as copolymers to enhance mechanical properties in a wide variety of applications.

Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) has high outdoor weatherability; and retains gloss, color, and mechanical properties in outdoor exposures. This makes it an excellent choice for building and construction applications where dark rich colors are desirable. Americhem offers a full line of masterbatches and nGrain® streaker aesthetics to mimic natural wood appearance in ASA as well as fully colored ASA pre-color compounds as part of our eCap™ product line. If your applications require smaller lots, Americhem can customize a pre-color compound in small volume capability for ASA.
